2023 - 2024 Committees of the Iowa Academy of Science
Committees will be updated as soon as all positions are filled.
The Iowa Academy of Science has nine standing committees. Each standing committee has six members with each member serving three years. The incoming President appoints new committee members prior to the Annual Meeting for terms that begin at the conclusion of the meeting. The duties of outgoing committee members end at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting. The President appoints committee chairs.
The duties of each committee are described in the Academy By-laws. Temporary committees may be appointed by the President at any time with duties specified by the President. The terms of these committees end at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting but may be reappointed by the incoming President.
