Iowa Junior Academy of Science Symposium/Iowa Academy of Science Annual Meeting
The IJAS Science Symposium at the Iowa Academy of Science Annual Meeting is Iowa’s professional general science annual meeting. It combines science presentations by Iowa scientists, science educators, graduate, undergraduate, and middle and high school students. It features three general sessions, three symposiums, science research presentations from the 12 sections of the Iowa Academy of Science. There is at least one field field trip held on Saturday of the two-day meeting. There are numerous opportunities for IJAS students to meet IAS members and other science students at all academic levels.
IAS scientists, science educators, graduate and undergraduate students participate as reviewers and judges for the IJAS presentations. Junior Academy members may attend part or all of the IAS Annual Meeting.
